Penerapan Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization Dalam Meningkatkan Gerak Dan Fungsi Tubuh–Sebuah Kajian Pustaka
Abstract
Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) merupakan pendekatan pemeriksaan dan penanganan masalah gerak dan fungsi tubuh yang mencakup prinsip-prinsip perkembangan kinesiologi selama tahun pertama kehidupan. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kajian pustaka dengan menggunakan sumber data sekunder berupa penelusuran artikel ilmiah di google scholar dengan menggunakan kata kunci “dynamic neuromuscular stabilization” dan “narrative review”. Berdasarkan hasil penelusuran digunakan sebanyak 19 artikel dalam studi kajian pustaka ini. Berdasarkan hasil studi, didapatkan bahwa: 1). Penerapan pelatihan DNS memperhatikan beberapa konsep, diantaranya: developmental kinesiology, joint centration, core stabilization – integrated spinal stabilization system (ISSS), stabilisasi fungsi diafragma, serta pengaruh rantai kinetik dan saling ketergantungan regional; 2). Prosedur pemeriksaan DNS memperhatikan 11 metode pemeriksaan; 3). Teknik terapi DNS dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan posisi bayi berumur 4,5 bulan dengan posisi supine (tidur terlentang), posisi prone (tidur telungkup), posisi bayi berumur 7 bulan (side sitting position), ataupun dalam posisi quadruped, “bear”, dan squat. Resistensi (misalnya barbel atau thera-band) terhadap gerakan dinamis ekstremitas dapat ditambahkan untuk menantang stabilitas. Penerapan DNS bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan gerak dan fungsi tubuh pada beberapa populasi, seperti: Alzheimer disease, lanjut usia fungsional, forward head posture, retardasi mental, multiple sclerosis, low back pain, poor posture, atlet flatwater kayakers, dan atlet race walkers. Rerata pengaplikasian dosis penerapan DNS yaitu dilakukan sebanyak 3 sesi dalam 1 minggu selama 40 – 60 menit setiap sesinya selama 4 – 8 minggu dengan sesi rerata mencapai 6 minggu.
