Penurunan Persentase Lemak Tubuh Dengan Tabata Workout Pada Mahasiswa Pre-Obesitas

Abstract
Persentase lemak tubuh yang berlebihan dapat banyak memicu risiko dan masalah kesehatan serta berujung mendatangkan penyakit kronis. Diperlukan upaya preventif terhadap peningkatan persentase lemak tubuh salah satunya dengan menerapkan latihan pada kategori pre- obesitas, seperti pengaturan pola makan dan keterlibatan dalam aktivitas fisik yang memadai. Satu dari kegiatan fisik yang dapat dijalankan yakni Tabata Workout. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas Tabata Workout dalam mengurangi persentase lemak tubuh pada mahasiswa Fisioterapi Universitas Dhyana Pura. Sampel terdiri dari 19 mahasiswa dengan desain penelitian pre- eksperimental menggunakan one group pre-test post-test design. Teknik pengambilan sampelnya adalah purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria inklusi, eksklusi, dan drop out yang telah ditetapkan. Pengukuran ketebalan lemak menggunakan skinfold caliper. Hasil uji analisis deskriptif menunjukan penurunan nilai lemak dari rata-rata 24,97 saat pre-test menjadi rata-rata 22,95 saat post-test. Uji hipotesis dengan Paired Sample T-test menunjukan signifikan p=0,000 (p <0,05), sehingga dapat disimpulkan latihan Tabata Workout yang dilakukan 3 kali per minggu selama 4 minggu efektif menurunkan persentase lemak tubuh mahasiswa Fisioterapi Universitas Dhyana Pura sebesar 8,1%. Tabata Workout dapat menjadi pilihan latihan yang tepat untuk mengatasi peningkatan persentase lemak tubuh.
