Pengaruh Dual Task Training Terhadap Konsentrasi Pada Anak Usia 7 – 9 Tahun di SD Muhammadiyah Mlangi
The Effect of Dual Task Training on Concentration in Children Aged 7 – 9 Years at Muhammadiyah Mlangi Primary School
Abstract
Konsentrasi berperan penting dalam mencapai keberhasilan belajar pada anak. Pada anak berusia 7 hingga 9 tahun, perkembangan kognitif seringkali ditandai oleh kesulitan dalam fokus perhatian dan keterbatasan dalam dorongan untuk berpikir secara mendalam. Ketika anak memiliki konsentrasi yang rendah maka anak akan kesulitan dalam memahami informasi yang dapat menyebabkan ketidakseriusan dalam belajar. Dual task training mengharuskan seseorang untuk melakukan aktivitas yang kompleks secara bersamaan, dan menekankan peran kognisi dan konsentrasi. Sehingga dapat diberikan kepada anak untuk melatih tingkat konsentrasi ketika melakukan suatu aktivitas yang dilakukan secara bersamaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dual task training terhadap konsentrasi pada anak usia 7 – 9 tahun. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimental dan rancangan pre and post test one group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 34 orang anak berusia 7 hingga 9 tahun dari SD Muhammadiyah Mlangi yang diberikan perlakuan dual task training sebanyak 3 kali perminggu dengan total 12 pertemuan dalam 4 minggu. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner konsentrasi belajar sebagai alat ukur dalam penelitian. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan Paired Samples T-Test menunjukkan nilai p = 0.001 ( p < 0.05) yang berarti bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Dari pernyataan tersebut bahwa ada pengaruh dual task training terhadap konsentrasi pada anak usia 7 – 9 tahun. Diharapkan penelitian selanjutnya menggunakan kelompok kontrol dan dapat menerapkan dual task training lebih dari 4 minggu, sehingga hasil yang didapatkan lebih maksimal.
