Pengaruh Pemberian Kombinasi Exercise William’s Flexion dan Taping pada Kasus Spondylosis : Case Report
Abstract
Prevalensi Low Back Pain pada Lansia di Jawa Tengah dan Terapi Intervensi Studi epidemiologi menunjukkan bahwa 40% individu berusia lebih dari 65 tahun di Jawa Tengah mengeluhkan nyeri pada daerah punggung bawah (LBP), prevalensi lebih tinggi laki-laki (18,2%) dibandingkan wanita (13,6%). Wawancara dengan berbagai rumah sakit di Indonesia menunjukkan prevalensi LBP berada dalam rentang 3-17%. Dengan proyeksi WHO yang memperkirakan populasi lansia global akan meningkat drastis hingga 2,1 miliar pada tahun 2050, penting untuk menangani LBP yang umum terjadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian subjek tunggal, melibatkan pasien berusia 65 tahun yang mengalami spondylosis thoracolumbalis dan keluhan lainnya. Temuan menyatakan bahwa terapi Williams fleksi efektif dalam menurunkan nyeri, spasme otot, dan meningkatkan fungsi. Hasil penelitian ini menyoroti kebutuhan intervensi yang tepat bagi populasi lansia dengan LBP untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup mereka.
