Manajemen Fisioterapi Pada Tennis Elbow: Laporan Kasus
Physiotherapy Manajement in Tennis Elbow: A Case Report
Abstract
Tennis elbow merupakan salah satu gangguan muskuloskeletal pada usia 20–65 tahun, ditandai nyeri pada lateral epicondylus dan penurunan aktivitas fungsional. Penanganan umumnya menggunakan farmakoterapi, namun fisioterapi juga berperan penting melalui manajemen inflamasi, mobilisasi sendi, terapi latihan, dan elektroterapi. Melaporkan manajemen fisioterapi dan hasil klinis pada kasus tennis elbow. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain laporan kasus (case report), seorang laki-laki 39 tahun dengan nyeri pada lateral epicondylus sinistra menjalani empat sesi fisioterapi berupa Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), ultrasound, stretching, strengthening, serta latihan aktivitas sehari-hari (ADL). Evaluasi dilakukan dengan Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), goniometer untuk ROM, Manual Muscle Test (MMT), dan skala oedem pitting. Setelah intervensi, ekstensi pergelangan tangan meningkat dari 40° menjadi 50° dan supinasi dari 80° menjadi 90°. Nyeri pada pergelangan tangan menurun (nyeri gerak 7→2, nyeri tekan 7→2) dan nyeri pada siku menghilang (4→0). Edema membaik dari derajat 1 menjadi tidak ada. Kekuatan otot m. extensor carpi radialis brevis, longus, dan supinator meningkat dari skor 4 menjadi 5. Secara klinis, otot yang sebelumnya hanya mampu melawan tahanan minimal, kini mampu melawan tahanan maksimal. Intervensi fisioterapi dini efektif menurunkan nyeri, meningkatkan ROM, dan memulihkan kekuatan otot pada kasus tennis elbow.
