Abstract
Bell’s palsy adalah kelumpuhan saraf wajah yang terjadi secara tiba-tiba akibat peradangan atau kompresi pada saraf fasialis, yang menyebabkan gangguan fungsi otot wajah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pemberian Massage, Mirror exercise, dan Neuromuscular tapping terhadap pasien Bell’s palsy. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan case report dengan enam kali terapi selama tiga minggu. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan Manual Muscle Testing (MMT) dan Skala Ugo Fisch untuk mengukur kekuatan otot dan kemampuan fungsional wajah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kekuatan otot pada beberapa otot seperti (1) M. Frontalis dari 3 menjadi 5, (2) M. Orbicularis occuli dari 1 menjadi 3, (3) M. Zygomaticus mayor dari 1 menjadi 3, (4) M. Obicularis oris dari 1 menjadi 3, (5) M. Depresor septi dari 3 menjadi 5, (6) M. Nasalis dari 0 menjadi 5, (7) M. Depresor labii inferior dari 3 menjadi 5. Serta peningkatan skor Skala Ugo Fisch dari 33 (derajat IV: kelumpuhan sedang berat) menjadi 78 (derajat II: kelumpuhan ringan). Pemberian terapi ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kekuatan otot serta meningkatkan kemampuan fungsional wajah pasien Bell’s palsy.
