Kekuatan Genggaman Tangan dan Fungsi Kognitif sebagai Indikator Klinis terhadap Kemandirian Aktivitas Instrumental Sehari-hari

Handgrip Strength and Cognitive Function as Clinical Indicators of Instrumental Activities of Daily Living

Abstract

Kemandirian lansia dalam menjalankan aktivitas instrumental sehari-hari (IADL) sangat bergantung pada fungsi motorik dan fungsi kognitif. Namun, hubungan spesifik antara kekuatan genggaman tangan, fungsi kognitif, dan kemandirian IADL masih perlu diteliti lebih lanjut, khususnya pada lansia wanita. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan total sampel 28 lansia wanita berusia ≥ 60 tahun. Kekuatan genggaman tangan diukur menggunakan handgrip dynamometer, fungsi kognitif dinilai dengan Montreal Cognitive Assessment versi Indonesia (MoCA-Ina), dan kemandirian IADL diukur dengan instrumen The Lawton Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (Lawton IADL). Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman untuk mengetahui korelasi antar variabel. Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan kekuatan genggaman tangan berhubungan secara signifikan dan sedang-kuat dengan kemandirian IADL (r = 0,53; p = 0,01), serta fungsi kognitif berhubungan sedang dan signifikan dengan kemandirian IADL (r = 0,40; p = 0,03). Namun, korelasi antara kekuatan genggaman tangan dan fungsi kognitif lemah dan tidak signifikan (r = 0,29; p = 0,12). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan genggaman tangan dan fungsi kognitif memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kemandirian aktivitas instrumental sehari-hari (IADL) pada lansia wanita. Hal ini menegaskan bahwa kekuatan genggaman tangan dan fungsi kognitif merupakan indikator penting kemandirian IADL pada lansia wanita.
