Pengaruh Square Stepping Exercise Terhadap Resiko Jatuh Pada Lansia
The Effect of Square Stepping Exercise on the Risk of Falls in the Elderly
Abstract
Lansia akan mengalami banyak perubahan fisik akibat penurunan fungsi tubuh secara degeneratif yang menyebabkan menurunnya kekuatan, fleksibilitas, dan keseimbangan untuk mempertahankan postur. Penurunan keseimbangan akan menyebabkan peningkatan resiko jatuh pada lansia. Latihan Square Stepping Exercise adalah salah satu teknik latihan yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan keseimbangan. Square Stepping Exercise bertujuan untuk memperbaiki sistem musculoskeletal, vestibular, visual, somatosensory. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Square Stepping Exercise terhadap resiko jatuh pada lansia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Experimental dengan pendekatan Pre-test And Post-test With Control Design. Responden penelitian berjumlah 29 orang yang diambil menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling. Resiko jatuh pada lansia diukur menggunakan Timed Up And Go Test. Data diuji menggunakan uji normalitas dan Paired T-Test untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel. Hasil penelitian dan perhitungan melalui SPSS menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji normalitas menggunakan Saphiro Wilk Test diperoleh data berdistribusi normal, dan uji pengaruh menggunakan Paired T-Test diperoleh hasil sebesar 0,000 (<0,05) yang berarti Ha diterima. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh Square Stepping Exercise terhadap resiko jatuh pada lansia.
